The purpose of the Family Services Program is to increase self-sufficiency through adult care assistance and services to adults, the elderly, and families through services such as non-medical care, financial assistance, economic opportunity and money management, case management referrals to the local, state, and federal agencies, protective services, and counseling services. The program will coordinate with law enforcement, the courts, and other community services including groups, agencies, and facilities within the community and state.

Mission:

We assist tribal citizens living on and off tribal lands through general assistance, child/adult protective services, case management, awareness of social injustice, advocacy, and partnerships within the community. The family Services Department is committed to tribal citizens safety, self-sufficiency and success by ensuring the overall wellbeing of individuals spiritual, emotional, physical, and intellectual self through family togetherness and incorporating Catawba cultural beliefs.

Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) Services (Deparment of Health and Enivornmental Control)

Protective Services (South Carolina Department of Social Services)
