Who We Are
Family Promise of York County is affiliated with national family promise, an organization committed to linking communities who want to help families with those who are in need. The families at FPYC are like any other family, except that they are experiencing severe economic hardships. Usually, one or both parents are employed or have recently lost a job. Families have been living day-to-day until some event worsens their situation. Soon, parents and children find themselves without a place to live. Our organization assists families in regaining their independence and self-sufficiency by providing intensive case management and life skills training to guest families. In 2013, 83% of our guest families left our program for permanent housing and 100% left with employment.
