The South Carolina Ag + Art Tour is a free, self-guided tour of farms and markets featuring local artisans at every stop! During the tour visitors have the opportunity to see first-hand where their food comes from, watch artists in action and purchase their works, enjoy the melodies of local musicians, and learn more about rural life.
The South Carolina Ag + Art Tour is a grassroots driven program that is coordinated by volunteers across a diverse spectrum of organizations. The Ag + Art Tour of York County is June 5 & 6 and June 12 & 13 this year. We are currently soliciting for volunteers to staff the information tables at each of the farm sites. We would love to have the members of the Winthrop community serve as information table volunteers!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet guests as they arrive at the farm,
- Ask each guest to sign in,
- Let the guests know about what's happening on the farm - demonstrations, tours, where the artisans are located, where food trucks and public bathrooms can be found (if they are available)
- Count the visitors as they arrive using a handheld tally counter

Saturdays
- 9:45 AM - 1:15 PM*
- 12:45 - 4:15 PM
*The first shift volunteers can leave when the second shift volunteers arrive and are settled.
Sundays
- 12:45 - 5:15 PM

The tour is rain or shine. Please dress for the weather, wear close-toed shoes, bring water, a snack, sunscreen and appropriate rain gear if it is in the forecast.
Volunteers will receive an Ag + Art Tour t-shirt. Please wear it during your shift, and take it home with you as our thanks for helping!
