Volunteers are an integral part of the race and we sincerely appreciate the time you will be dedicating to this awesome event. We cannot say it enough – Thank You! Thank You! For each shift you will raise money for the Anne Springs Close Greenway! One shift=$120 given back to a stewardship, cultural, ecological efforts for our community!
GEAR DROP: Direct traffic through Gear Drop area.
PARKING: Direct traffic and assign parking spaces in parking lot area.
RACE CHECK IN: Assist runners through the race check-in process. You will be there to assist runners with any questions they may have.
SAFETY VIDEO: Volunteers will monitor the mandatory Safety Video viewing area. Volunteers here will start and stop the DVD player every 30 minutes. After watching the video, you will stamp all participants hands to prove they're good to go.
GEAR DROP/PARKING MANAGER: Oversees gear drop, gear pickup, parking and VIPs. These responsibilities include training and managing a team of volunteers. Quick thinking and problem-solving is required to respond to long lines for gear drop, pick-up and parking. You will be on your feet all day, moving around and out in the elements, while answering questions and keeping the parking process moving. If you are organized assertive and like interacting with people, this could be the job for you!
BEER/SOFT DRINK SALES: The Greenway is in charge the beer and soft drink sales. Help us raise funds while keeping everyone hydrated! Runners will be looking to you as they celebrate at the finish line. Must be 21+ to work here.
Qualifications: All volunteers will work outside. Positions will vary. Most positions will have you on your feet throughout the shift. Volunteers must be comfortable communicating with the general public.
