Throughout its history, the Lowry Family Theater at the McCelvey Center has provided students and area residents access to the performing arts. The historic theater seats over 500 guests, has a lovely 1920s ambiance and is noted for its remarkable acoustics.

Saturday, Feb. 15: Steep Canyon Rangers
Steep Canyon Rangers returns for their sixth performance on the McCelvey stage. Named Emerging Artists of the Year in 2006 by International Bluegrass Music Association, the band earned a Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album in 2013. Known for their ongoing musical collaboration with banjoist/comedian Steve Martin, the Asheville, N.C.- based band’s newly released version of “Be Still Moses,” originally recorded in 2007, features collaboration with Boyz II Men and the Asheville Symphony.
