Fifty-five years ago, during the first Earth Day on April 22, 1970, the objective was to increase public awareness about the many environmental issues we faced at the time. In the spirit of that effort, Winthrop’s Office of Sustainability will recognize Earth Day 2025 on Wednesday, April 22, from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm.
Below are the tables we will need volunteers to help with. When registering, please let us know what table/topic you would like to assist with.
- Recycling
- Water - possibly taste testing different waters
- Food Waste Awareness and Composting
- UN Sustainable Development Goals
- Plastic bag collections
- Bartlett Tree Experts with trees
- Don't Dump It! Donate It! Spring Move Out donation drive.
