Recycling will be available during the Convocation Picnic on Monday, August 22 from 11:45 am until 1:30 pm. The Office of Sustainability is asking for volunteers to help us ensure the recycling bins are free of landfill waste. (Yes, containers are labeled but unfortunately, waste still ends up in our recycling bins.)
- The Convocation Picnic will take place on the front lawn of the campus.
- We will be located in front of Bancroft and I would like to ask volunteers to arrive by 11:30 am.
- We will pair all trash cans with a clear-stream recycling bag/rack. Volunteers are asked to walk around the area to help pull trash from the recycling bag/rack.
- All supplies (gloves and trash grabbers) will be provided.
- All volunteers must complete the attached assumption of risk form.
- All volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes.
- Volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather conditions and plan to bring water or a sports drink to stay hydrated during the clean-up.
