This is one service project that will bring attention to the importance of preventing litter in addition to promoting recycling. America Recycles Day®, a program of Keep America Beautiful®, is a nationally recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States. Every year on or around November 15 (America Recycles Day) event organizers like you, educate neighbors, friends, and colleagues through thousands of events.
This litter clean-up is open to STUDENTS, FACULTY, AND STAFF.
- All supplies (gloves, bags, trash grabbers, vests) will be provided.
- All volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes.
- Volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather conditions and plan to bring water or a sports drink to stay hydrated during the clean-up.
- For safety reasons, no one will be allowed to pick up litter alone – all volunteers will be grouped with at least one other person.
