Campus Green is a favorite place for many people to gather with the addition of hammock racks and other seating. In addition, the various theme gardens offer opportunities for people to see endangered sunflowers and wildflowers, along with many native pollinators including butterflies. However, these gardens require regular maintenance to keep the vibrant all year long. In January, our tasks include cutting back the dead plants, weeding, mulching, and planting bulbs (irises and daffodils) and pansies.
Our Pre-MLK Day Service will get us started: volunteers will help trim dead plants, do some weeding, and start planting irises and pansies.
