Photography and/or videography volunteers will receive immense amounts of experience while supporting the Greenway! Projects could range anywhere from styled shoots to event videography. We appreciate fresh ideas and will give ALL volunteers credit and references for quality work. 

PURPOSE: To capture Greenway moments! 

LOCATION: Greenway location varies. 

TIME COMMITMENT: Flexible with what works best for your schedule.

This volunteer position is in our bicycle shop. ROC client's that have no transportation can work in the bike shop for four hours to earn a bicycle.

Volunteer will help the bike shop supervisor repair bicycles and will interact with clients as they work on their bicycle.   

The bike shop is open on Thursday 10:00am until 2:00pm.    

Serve the performing arts.  See incredible shows.  Build customer service skills.

In our six theaters in Uptown Charlotte, we present Broadway musicals, the Charlotte Symphony, Charlotte Ballet, Opera Carolina and a host of other performances ranging from the up-and-coming amateur to the legends-of-our-time.  We seek college students to join our volunteer corps of ushers who will provide excellent service to patrons as well as enjoy the best in the performing arts.

Volunteer ushers must be at least 18 years of age, complete an application, and a personal interview. Desired traits include: excellent communication and people skills, a desire to serve our patrons, and a commitment to Blumenthal Performing Arts. Volunteers are expected to work a minimum of three (3) events per month (during the school year).  They must be able to stand for long periods of time, climb stairs to all levels of our theaters, and read tickets in dim lighting.  Our scheduling process requires regular computer access and an e-mail address. Opportunities for volunteers are provided without regard to religion, creed, race, national origin, age, sex, or disability. Please note the first 90 days of the volunteer experience will be mutually probationary.

To become a volunteer you must: 

 

Be 16 years old or older.  Complete the Volunteer Application (available on our webpage) and sign the Waiver of Liability; Attend the Volunteer Orientation.

 

Volunteer Orientation are held at our facility the FIRST SATURDAY and THIRD FRIDAY of every month from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Please arrive 9:45 a.m. to make sure you have enough time to sign in and register. Orientations are held outside; bring a lawn chair if you like.
