Join us from 9am-11am for some dutiful trash pick up on the Greenway! 

All materials provided, including gloves, trash grabbers, and trash bags. All volunteers receive FREE entry and a guest pass to use at a later time. Volunteers must be 12 and older. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Interested in learning more? Attend a Volunteer Orientation to learn more! We have a volunteer opportunity for everyone - guaranteed. All volunteer orientations, are held at The Greenway's Nature Center from 6-7 PM. Door prizes are available for all who attend.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Plant-A-Row for the Hungry (PAR) Garden is 100% volunteer maintained. This year-round garden needs your support to succeed! All crops are donated to the Fort Mill Nutrition Center to elderly individuals in need of a nutritional and fresh meal. Do good and give back. No gardening experience is needed. Plant, weed, harvest, and more! We recently added a Community Garden, bee hives, and a chicken coop. Come check us out! 

PURPOSE: To grow and harvest crops for the Fort Mill Nutrition Center. 

LOCATION: The PAR Garden is located behind Greenway HQ at 250 Dairy Barn Lane, Fort Mill, SC 29715

TIME COMMITMENT: The PAR Garden is open from sunrise to sunset. Give back when it's convenient for you! 

QUALIFICATIONS: Volunteers will be working outdoors. Please come prepared for the weather. Closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, bug spray, and a water bottle is suggested. 

TRAINING: Onsite orientation with Betsy McLean. Please contact Betsy at betsymc77@gmail.com or 803.323.7773 to set up an initial orientation in the PAR Garden.

DRESS CODE: Volunteer shirt suggested but not required. If you do not have a shirt please receive at the Springfield House anytime between 9a-5p Monday-Friday. 2201 Old Nation Road

Photography and/or videography volunteers will receive immense amounts of experience while supporting the Greenway! Projects could range anywhere from styled shoots to event videography. We appreciate fresh ideas and will give ALL volunteers credit and references for quality work. 

PURPOSE: To capture Greenway moments! 

LOCATION: Greenway location varies. 

TIME COMMITMENT: Flexible with what works best for your schedule. 

TRAINING: Initial face-to-face meeting with Volunteer Coordinator at the Springfield House (2201 Old Nation Road, Fort Mill, SC 29715). To set up a meeting, please reach out to Caitlin at 803.547.1009 or CaitlinAnderson@ASCGreenway.org. 

QUALIFICATIONS: We ask that volunteers are comfortable with their photography and/or videography skills. This does NOT mean that you have to be at a professional status, but basic skills are necessary. A background in editing is needed for video creation. It's amazing what you can do with an iPhone!
