Needs From: Winthrop University

We're are always in need of volunteers to deliver meals to home-bound senior citizens in York County. If you have time between 10:45 and 12:15 Monday through Friday, we could use your help. Meals are distributed from Clover, Fort Mill, Rock Hill and York.  Let us know the area that would be most convenient for you.  You can do one day or more. 

The York County Council on Aging is in need of dog and cat food for the beloved pets of our community's senior citizens in need. Our volunteers tell us that many seniors split their Meals on Wheels lunch with their pets because they can't afford pet food. In the past, Winthrop has held several pet food drives which provided us with plenty of food to send out to our home-bound seniors for their pets. For a lonely senior, their pets are often their only  family, their best friend, and the reason they get up in the morning. When they split their lunch with their pet, neither the senior nor the pet gets proper nutrition. Pet food drives are wonderfully helpful.
