Clover Area Assistance Center

Clover Area Assistance Center is the central provider for those in need in the Clover/Lake Wylie area, with roots in the community that date back to the early 1980's. Clover Area Assistance Center is the central service agency in our community that those with needs turn to and those with resources trust to ensure that their donations and efforts are optimally dispersed.

Mission Statement: Clover Area Assistance Center (CAAC) responds effectively and compassionately to those in need who reside within the boundaries of the Clover (SC) School District. Urgent needs are met either directly or collaboratively through food, financial assistance, health services, and special need items. Through educational programming, CAAC works to help people bridge the gap between dependence and self-sufficiency.

CAAC provides basic needs support to residents living within the boundaries of the Clover School District whose household income is 200% of the poverty level or less. CAAC operates a Full Choice Food Pantry, which includes the distribution of paper products, toiletry items, oral hygiene products, and pet food. Emergency financial assistance is provided for utilities, housing, heating fuels, transportation, prescriptions, and other basic needs items. CAAC's Free Dental Clinic for uninsured adults provides a full spectrum of care from cleanings to partial/full dentures at no cost to the client. A variety of Living Basics educational classes are offered to assist individuals with budgeting and setting goals. CAAC partners with a multitude of other agencies to insure Clover residents have access to services. CAAC also partners to provide other services such as free haircuts, transportation, and access to free prescriptions, eyeglasses, and hearing aids
