Meet next to frogs on Campus Green.
Winthrop has partnered with several regional Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops who have installed several themed gardens on campus including a pollinator garden; a Shakespeare Garden; a wildflower garden; and certified rain garden and wild life garden. Growing Eagle Gardeners will allow faculty, staff, and students volunteers to continue to beautify our campus by helping to maintain a living legacy for all those who use the Campus Green.
In addition, gardening has been shown to relieve stress and many friendships may blossom over the shared interest of the gardens.
Volunteers will be provided shovels and and gloves.
