Weigh the Waste - Breakfast

Did you know that nearly 40% of our food produced never makes it to our table?  According to the EPA 94% of the food we throw away ends up in landfills or combustion facilities.  In landfills, decomposing food creates methane, a potent GHG.   Each semester, the Office of Sustainability partners with Dining Services to bring attention to food waste in Thomson Cafeteria.   To kick off Campus Sustainability Month, we are conducting our food waste audit on October 3, 2019.   Please join us if you are concerned about food waste and would like to influence change!
