The Girls on the Run Reindeer Romp 5K is like no other! This is our end-of-the-season event for program participants. It's a fun-filled, family affair. Our 5K is celebratory in nature and not competitive. It takes all hands on deck to make it happen!
Volunteers are needed for pre-race week goody bag stuffing and t-shirt sorting (done in our office on Cherry Road), placing flyers in mailboxes along the course the week before, packet pick-up (Academy Sports in Rock Hill), and of course at Fountain Park on race morning. Volunteers are needed between the hours of 6-10am (even just an hour or two of your time is appreciated!).
Some volunteer needs include: unloading our truck and setting up pop-up tents and various stations, helping with volunteer check-in, helping take day-of race registrations, face painting and face tattoos, help in our Fun Zone, course marshals, water station help, spirit runners, handing out race medals, finish line refreshments, and of course tearing down everything once the race is over.
This is sure to be the most fun way to earn some "feel good" service hours for yourself, or a group of people to do together!
