Saturday, September 24th from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.: Superhero Science Saturday
Description: Come to the Museum of York County for a day packed with superhero-and-science themed activities! Discover the science behind real-life versions of common comic book superpowers, create your own hero and their adventures, play a trivia board game to test what you've learned, and see how Greek gods were similar to today’s superheroes in Legends of the Night Sky: Perseus and Andromeda playing in the Settlemyre Planetarium. Everyone is encouraged to come in costume!
We’ll have lots of various volunteer opportunities with this event.
Some of our needs for this event are: Assisting with the life-size board game, Concessions, Planetarium Ticket Taker, Parking, Scavenger Hunt, Assist with Comic Book Craft
Volunteers are welcome to volunteer a 4 hour shift or for the entire day. Full day volunteers will receive a Free hotdog lunch.
