Just Joy is a disability ministry at First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church that ministers to families affected by special needs. On Friday, October 26, 2018, we're going to offer a respite night to these families. This respite night will allow for caregivers to have a few hours to themselves while we hang out with their kids.
We need Volunteers who can be at the Church from 4:30pm to 9:00pm (maybe a little later) to spend time with our friends. There are a variety of roles needed from setup and clean up, to registration, to being a floater and for those that need it a one-on-one buddy.
Our plan is to split those in attendance up into groups and these groups will rotate through Recreation, Music, and Crafts. Volunteers will be assigned to each group. Those in attendance will be from Just Joy and All American Athletes. It should be a really fun night of fellowship!
On top of this, you'll receive dinner and snacks for free. For those that need it, we'll also sign off on volunteer hours served.
