Description

Your help is needed at our Natural History Museum's Annual Event. Each year hundreds of visitors join us for a not-so-scary adventure. We need you to assist with activities throughout the museum. You are invited to stay for the entire event 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. or work a 4 hour shift. Fun costumes are encouraged.

Volunteer Needs are: Concessions, assist with activities, face painting, etc.

Description
Spooky Science:  The Unseen
Uncover the unexpected as you discover what is beneath the surface of living creatures.
* Observe preserved specimens, such parasites and other creepy crawlies, in the Naturalist Center
* Visit “Walk in the Woods” educators as they share live animals and animal x-rays. (ongoing 10:30 am- 3:30 pm)
* Spooky Stations and activities will be ongoing in the halls and auditorium.
* Brave the darkened halls of the Piedmont Present and Past galleries with a flashlight in hand
* Dare to enter the planetarium and learn about monsters in space such as black holes, zombie stars, and spectacularly ghostly nebulae.
* Not-so-scary costumes are encouraged. 
* Food available for purchase.
