Help us make campus shine as we start the new academic year! This litter clean-up is open to STUDENTS, FACULTY, AND STAFF. It is scheduled for early morning to avoid the possibility of excessive heat. Volunteers should plan to bring water or a sports drink to stay hydrated during the clean-up.
NOTE FOR FACULTY/STAFF: Contact us and/or add a note if you want to do the litter pick-up in a specific area of campus. For instance, if you work in the Library, you may want to clean up litter from around the Library, Withers, Dinkins, and Stewart House.
- All supplies (gloves, bags, trash grabbers, vests) will be provided.
- All volunteers must complete the attached assumption of risk form.
- All volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes.
- Volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather conditions and plan to bring water or a sports drink to stay hydrated during the clean-up.
- For safety reasons, no one will be allowed to pick up litter alone – all volunteers will be grouped with at least one other person.
